Cartoon: Preaching on Youtube
Cartoon: Recycling Education
When I drew this cartoon, I thought the PC looked somewhat modern. Is that a 3 1/2" or a 5 1/4" floppy drive? Where's the SCSI cable? What do you mean it's wireless?

Cartoon: Birthday cheer
Cartoon: Wipe the Slate Clean
Cartoon: Your a Mac, I'm a PC
Cartoon of a couple at a romantic dinner. The man says, “The question remains: can a Mac person and a Windows Person get along in marital bliss?”
This is an illustration I did back in 1996 for the sixth edition of the "New Rider's Internet Yellow Pages."

Cartoon: Bad Internet Cooking
Cartoon of wife at computer and husband. Wife cries, “Someone told the gourmet cuisine site about my cooking and now they won’t let me in.”
Bad news travels fast, doesn't it? Especially with the speed of the Internet on the side of the rumor mill.
This is a classic cartoon I did back in 1996 for the sixth edition of the "New Rider's Internet Yellow Pages."

Cartoon: Pointy Homework
Cartoon of a boy with a test and a dog. Boy says, "For a pointer, you're pretty lousy at pointing out homework answers."
I never used our dog to do my homework. She was a collie and whenever I'd ask a question, she'd just nip at my heels.

Cartoon: Cover to cover
Cartoon of two boys in school. One says, “I’m going to study this book from cover to cover. So far, I have the copyright page memorized.”
Does anybody read the copyright page? I do! It's chocked full of great information and ISBN numbers. If you don't know what the latter is, you probably don't want to read the copyright page anyway.

Cartoon: Attitudinal License
It can be tough to go the extra mile, especially when the highway is plugged up. But it's worth it to go that extra distance. That must be why I'm posting a cartoon on Saturday. It's an extra blog post on the Information Superhighway.

Cartoon: Good Game
Cartoon: Infinite ways
Cartoon of two boys walking. One says, "Today at school, I discovered there are an infinite number of ways to annoy a girl."
Yes, there are an infinite number of ways to annoy people, I'm going to try and find the infinite number of ways to be a blessing today.
This also works for Illustration Friday. This week's word is "infinite."

Cartoon: Love is a Thing
Cartoon of two boys. One says, “Love is weird. All I know is people say it's a many-splintered thing.”
I thought of this cartoon when I heard some kids talking about all the break ups going on. Love has to be more than a feeling, or it doesn't last in the long run, does it?

Cartoon: Health Care Veggies
Cartoon of mom and son at dinner. Mom says, “It’s MY version of health care reform. Eat your veggies."
My mom was a nurse. This is the kind of thing I could just hear her saying. She would sneak wheat germ and shredded carrots into anything she could. I guess I shouldn't complain. I'm healthy today. Thanks Mom!

Cartoon: Video Game Aliens
Cartoon of guy and space alien. Guy says, "“Look! You can’t be an alien! You don’t look like the aliens on any of my video games!”
I wonder if a space alien would be appalled if it saw how it was depicted in the media. I wonder if they would like "Sector 9?"

Cartoon: Love and Homework
Cartoon of dad and son. Dad says, “Your mom didn't marry me for my hair. It was because I did my homework. Now go do yours.”
I'm sure my dad used this ploy on me. Bless his heart, I never remember him with much hair. But he's always been a hard worker. He's done his homework, and so has Mom. That must be why she married him.

Cartoon: Bed and Breakfast
Cartoon of man at a bed and breakfast. Man says to caretaker, “I’m not interested in a Bed and Breakfast. Would you have a Lunch and Lounge Package?”
I've had some nice experiences with bed and breakfast establishments. Still, I've often wondered how long it would take to wear out my welcome. I'm guessing they would kick me out when the check didn't clear.

Nice day for a reunion
Cartoon: A Strong Dog
Cartoon of boy with pets. Boy says to dog, "Look at it this way. It takes a strong dog to admit the cat rules the house."
No doubt about it. In our house, the cat rules the roost. The only exception is when our dog is able to ambush the cat. Corners are very good for that.
I also drew this for Illustration Friday. This week's word is "strong."

Cartoon: An Accountant's Web Site

Cartoon: New Cell Phone
Cartoon of boy with cell phone. He says to a baby, "Dad won't upgrade his cell phone until it's broken. Here! Chew on it for a while."
My daughter has been after me to get a new cell phone. Hey! What's wrong with the one I have? It still works. My fashion conscious daughter does not seem to buy that argument. I may be starting to show my age. *Sigh!*
