Illustration Friday: The Blues

My daughter has brought home a nice, little puppy. It's a little furball of energy.

The cat has reacted better than I thought. He hasn't been violent, though you can tell kitty has the blues.

Illustration Friday: Hide

Caption reads: "Hi, Bob. Have you seen Frank? I need him to help in the nursery."

My wife is a children's director for our church. You would be right if you supposed I have heard similar words before. About ten years ago, I would be hiding like this guy. But now I realize it's great to be in children's ministry. I like to see the future. And I'm not scared when I see it. They have more potential than us grumpy, proper grown-ups!

Stepping Out of Our Comfort Zones

So what's your motivation to step out of the boat this week? Mine came from a sermon courtesy of Jeff Matas. I don't want tredmill spirituality this week. (Or the next week for that matter.)

By the way, Jeff is the guy preaching in the far right drawing. He really does have more hair than that. Too bad for him I didn't have my reading glasses with me.
