Cartoon: A for Effort

Cartoon of teacher passing test to student. Student says, "If I do this test with one eye closed, one hand tied behind my back and hopping on one foot, do I get an A for effort?"

Students spend most of their educational career figuring out how to ace the test with the least amount of studying. But I bet if you'd issue physical challenges while they took the test, you'd get quite a few takers. You bet I would've tried it.

Cartoon: Magnify That Brain

Cartoon of teacher and student. Student says, “Can I go to the science lab? I can’t handle your tests unless I magnify my brain."

I also drew this for Illustration Friday. This week's word is "magnify."

Cartoon: Love and Chips

Cartoon of two boys eating. One says, "You can't find love in a bag of chips. But chips and salsa come close."

You guessed it. Chips and salsa are one of my favorite foods. Don't worry, though. It just can't compete with real love.

Cartoon: Nightmares in Flight

Cartoon of two men boarding a jet plane. One says, “We can’t take this flight, Earl! She was voted the worst flight attendant of all time at travelnightmares.com!”

This is a classic cartoon I did back in 1996 for the sixth edition of the "New Rider's Internet Yellow Pages."

It's good to know some of the issues we had thirteen years ago are still around. Airline service can be nonexistent. Still, I wonder if the flight attendants are just as much of a victim when they have to wait six hours on the tarmac like everyone else.

Cartoon in "Church Laughs" Newsletter

The Church Laughs newsletter at Christianity Today just featured my cartoon for this week.
