It can be tough to go the extra mile, especially when the highway is plugged up. But it's worth it to go that extra distance. That must be why I'm posting a cartoon on Saturday. It's an extra blog post on the Information Superhighway.

I did this devotional this morning while I was waiting for everyone to get ready for Thanksgiving. It's a good thing for me to remember as I go through the fun of a holiday weekend and the start of the Christmas season. 1 Peter is full of such good stuff. You can tell Peter had lived out his faith and proved his faithfulness through many years.

Controlling the tongue

As I'm trying this blog thing, I keep reminding myself to watch my tongue. As Paul said,

"Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial." 1 Corinthians 6:12
