Illustration Friday: Worn

Here is my take for Illustration Friday's "worn." This giraffe is the perfect model for a neck tie. Personally, I'm glad I haven't worn a tie to work in years.

I drew this in Adobe Illustrtor CS3.

I've been on vacation this week. Here is a sketch from the beach. I'll be back next week for some more blogging.

Yes, I'll be gone for a few days. I may send a few pix messages of my sketches this way. Otherwise, I'll see you here next week.

Illustration Friday: Unfold

These boys are enjoying a couple of marshmallows around a campfire. Will there be scary stories? Will a coyote or owl disrupt their outing? Who knows what will unfold next.

This is part of my clip art assignment for Warner Press. They own the copyright. If you would like to use it, you must contact them at wporders@warnerpress.org.

I drew this in Adobe Illustrator CS3.

6/11/09 Sketch journal about the rainy morning. The duck wasn't in my truck, but I saw a similar scene a few weeks ago. The water fowl have enjoyed this wet weather. The whole world is their domain.

I drew this with a Pilot Precise pen in my Strathmore Sketchbook.

I'm working on a daily doodle today. Let's hope I can make it an actual "daily doodle."

I was thinking about the old cliche, "Hang in there." Sometimes we're holding on for dear life when the ground is much closer than we think.

I drew this with a Faber-Castell, Pitt artist pen in my Strathmore sketchbook.

Illustration Friday: Craving

Cartoon: son to dad, "Well school is out for the summer! I don't know about you, but I'm craving some adventure!"

I'm guessing there are many kids craving adventure this month. Here's to hoping they have an exciting, and safe summer.
